How do I earn reward points on my card?
You can earn points redeemable for rewards with purchases on your First Citizens Travel Rewards Credit Card. 3 points can be earned for every dollar spent on travel related purchases, 2 points on dining, and 1.5 points on everything else. With no monthly cap or expiration on your point earnings, your reward opportunities are endless.
After a purchase, when will my rewards points be applied to my account?
Points are typically posted within 3 business days after your purchase with the exception of holidays.
Redeem Rewards
How do I redeem my points?
Log in to your Digital Banking account at firstcitizens.com, to view your account transactions and history. Also, you'll see your points balance and can easily link over to firstcitizensrewards.com to make redemptions and manage your account.
How do I redeem cash back?
Your earned points can be redeemed as cash back deposited to your First Citizens checking or savings account, or as a statement credit on your credit card.
What is Pay Me Back®?
We've created Pay Me Back to increase the flexibility of how you can redeem your rewards points. Pay Me Back can be used to offset purchases over $100 by redeeming points for a statement credit.
How do I redeem for Pay Me Back® ?
Within sixty days from the date the transaction posts to your First Citizens Rewards card account, you can make a Pay Me Back redemption for a statement credit for the transaction in full online or by contacting the First Citizens Rewards Center at 1-866-645-1694. The number of reward points required varies and is based upon the cost of the purchase. Some exclusions apply to certain categories of transactions.
HOW TO REDEEM PAY ME BACK
1. Use your First Citizens Credit Card.
2. When purchases over $100 post to your First Citizens Rewards account, select the charge below. You will be able to select from purchases within the last 60 days.
3. Verify your information and hit redeem to process your transaction.
4. Print the confirmation screen for your records (It will take up to 3-5 business days for your statement credit to appear on your banking statement).
How can I use Pay My Loan?
Reward yourself by applying a credit towards your loan or mortgage principal payment with Pay My Loan. Please continue to make your scheduled monthly payment, as Pay My Loan does not replace it.
What kind of gift cards do you offer?
You can redeem for gift cards for restaurants, retailers, airlines, cruise lines, and so much more. Gift Cards are a great option for gifting, special occasions, or just that treat for yourself. Gift cards are only available for shipment within the United States. Accounts with mailing addresses outside of the United States will be unable to redeem for gift cards.

How do I redeem for travel rewards?
Whether you're checking off a trip on the bucket list or your next staycation, we have you covered. Our travel rewards offer a wide range of flight, car rental, hotel, cruise line, and activities on your trip.

1. Log in through firstcitizens.com, navigate to rewards from your online digital banking, and then select Travel under the Browse Rewards option.
2. Cruise on over to our travel site for a full set of airline, hotel, car, activitities, & cruise offerings.
3. Booking online or give our First Citizens Rewards Center at 1-866-645-1694 a call to finalize your travel.
4. Enjoy your trip! You've earned it!
How do I donate to Teen Cancer America?
First Citizens Bank partners with Teen Cancer America; we hope you will too. Donate your points to help our teens fighting cancer and provide them with better care and a brighter future.
HOW TO REDEEM DONATE
1. Log in through firstcitizens.com, navigate to rewards from your online digital banking, and then select Donate under the Browse Rewards option.
2. Select a donation option amount from the drop down, select "DONATE NOW".
3. First Citizens Bank will transfer the value of your redemption to Teen Cancer American on your behalf. You'll receive an email for your tax records.
4. Thank you for your donation!
Can I gift points to any First Citizens Rewards account?
Both the account sending and the account receiving points must be with First Citizens and must be open in good standing. You may not transfer points to a closed account, to an account outside of the Program or a Cash Back Rewards account. All point transfers must be completed online.
How long does it take points to arrive that are gifted to another Cardholder?
For point gifting/transfers within the First Citizens Rewards® program, the transfer will be remitted immediately when processed. Rewards points transferred to another Rewards account will retain their original expiration date.

Can I book with a travel agent?
Yes. Call the First Citizens Rewards Center at 1-866-645-1694 Monday through Saturday 8 am - 9 pm and Sunday 8 am - 6 pm Eastern Standard Time. From the phone menu, enter your 16 digital credit card number, then select option #1 to get directed over to our Travel Service Team. They'll be able to answer all your travel related question and book travel as requested.
When can I expect my reward to arrive?
Your items may be shipped separately. Most gift cards and merchandise items will be received within 10 business days, however please allow up to 20 business days especially during peak redemption season.
What if my reward is damaged or lost?
Please contact the First Citizens Rewards Center at 1-866-645-1694 Monday through Saturday 8 am - 9 pm and Sunday 8 am - 6 pm Eastern Standard Time. Our Service Team will take all information, process the required forms, and walk you through next steps on your inquiry/dispute.
What is your return policy?
All reward redemptions are final and are not eligible for refund. If you're unsatisfied with your redemption, please call the First Citizens Rewards Center at 1-866-645-1694 Monday through Saturday 8 am - 9 pm and Sunday 8 am - 6 pm Eastern Standard Time.
Account Management
How can I access my rewards account profile?
Once you're logged in to your reward experience, select My Account from the top level menu bar. You'll see all the details on your account, including transactions with earn and redemption history.
How do I update my banking account profile?
To update your account, log in to Digital Banking at firstcitizens.com . On the left hand menu bar, select Profile & Preferences. When you update your profile, the changes will carry over to your rewards program the next time you log in, within one business day.
Am I able to set up other people to make redemptions on my behalf?
Yes, authorized redeemers are users you would like to allow to redeem points from this account on your behalf. You may select your authorized redeemers online only under your Account Preferences section. Authorized redeemers that are non-cardholders will only be permitted to make redemptions by phone on your behalf via the First Citizens Rewards® Center.
Can my points be combined with another cardholder's points?
You may pool or combine the points across your rewards account(s) to earn rewards faster. You may also pool your points along with any other First Citizens Rewards cardholders' accounts. There is no limit on the number of program accounts that can be pooled.
How do friends invite each other to join a points program?
You must be invited to join a pool by another First Citizens Rewards cardholder. An invitation will be sent to you via email by the cardholder providing you with additional information. If you choose to accept the invitation, you will register one of your First Citizens Credit Cards to participate. Due to security reasons, you are only able to register one First Citizens Credit Card per each invitation. However, once you have entered a pool, you can send an invitation to yourself to add another account to the pool.
